Morning After Dim Sum- Sep 17, 2010

HK people are so fashionable, even kids’ clothing have fancy store names.

I won’t describe how enjoyable my morning was after going a little crazy on the mojitos. Like I said, what went on was quite similar to Hoopla after party effects, but for a shorter period of time. The toilet was kind of my best friend for a while.

ANYWAYS, today wasn’t that exciting either, because all of us were in recovery mode. All we did after waking up was to turn in our class syllabi to the study abroad office. Chin wanted to meet up with us for Dim Sum, so we went for an afternoon meal at that hole in the wall restaurant with the greatest Pork buns ever.

But this time, we got Lily to come with us, which is a rare event, since she is trying to save money and NEVER comes out with us (unless it’s to LKF, in which her face is usually lobster red). I have a normal picture of her today!

I like this picture of Courtney and me, because the steam from the tea makes me look like a ghost next to her, which is perfect for enhancing her fear of scary things.

We didn’t do much in the Yau Ma Tei area after eating, because all of us hit food coma and were ready to go home. I swung by a Bonjour really quickly to buy deodorant, which, to my UTTER disappointment, is ROLL ON. EW. I miss my turn-the-knob-and-hear-clicking-until-it-comes-out deodorant, I don’t like that weird roll-all-over-your-armpit-and-not-be-able-to-rub-it-in wet feel. Oh, how I really miss my American products.

Walking by the stinky tofu and other food stands made my stomach flip inside out, and I really wanted to go home and take a nap, so we had to leave Chin behind when we got on our bus homebound. Sorry Chin, I wish I had a stronger stomach than yours (He kept telling me “Come on Dorothy, I only have half a stomach and I can handle more!”), but I guess I can’t win at this one.

I still felt well enough to take a nice picture of the group (minus Chin).
